After School Program

 

The Family & Children's Society offers an academic and social strengthening after-school program for at-risk students in the Union Endicott school district for teens age 13 and up.  

 

The Program provides:

  • Safe environment after school
  • Homework Center–students complete homework and receive academic support and tutoring
  • Snacks
  • Life building skills—small groups are taught conflict resolution, ways to deal with bullying and anger management
  • Pregnancy prevention—students are taught healthy choices regarding sexuality
  • Community service projects
  • Fields trips
  • Variety of activities as karate, yoga, high/low ropes course
